With recent media coverage about the avalanche of content that consumers are faced with on a daily basis it’s important to make sure what you’re putting out there is getting some traction, otherwise you’re just sending messages out into the ether. 

There’s etiquette and best practice on all social media channels and it’s a good idea to keep abreast of what they are (which you can of course do here by reading this useful blog!). That said, this super Slideshow is quick to flick through – so worth your time to do so – and has some really relevant and useful tips for small business who are (or who want to be) active on Twitter.

My favourite is tip #20. How annoying is the overuse of hashtags? Not to mention them taking up valuable space in your tweet and preventing you from getting your full message across!
